Terms of Use
For Clients & Experts

| Important: Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using the JFit Connect platform. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, refrain from using the platform. |
Part A — General Terms (All Users)
These Terms of Use (‘Terms’) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and JFit Personal Training LLC (‘JFit Connect’, ‘we’, ‘us’, or ‘our’), a company registered in the United Arab Emirates. These Terms govern your access to and use of the JFit Connect mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the ‘Platform’).
1. About the Platform
JFit Connect is a marketplace platform that connects clients seeking health and wellness services with independent expert service providers, including Personal Trainers, Psychologists, Physiotherapists, and Trained Listeners. JFit Connect acts solely as a technology intermediary and marketplace facilitator. We do not directly provide fitness, psychological, physiotherapy, or wellness services.
| Marketplace Notice: JFit Connect is not a healthcare provider, gym, or wellness clinic. All services are provided directly by independent Experts. JFit Connect’s role is limited to operating the Platform through which Clients and Experts connect. |
2. Eligibility
To use the Platform, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts under UAE law
- Not be prohibited from using the Platform under applicable laws
- Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
3. Account Registration
You may register using your phone number (via OTP), Google account, or as a Guest. Guest access is limited and does not permit booking services. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@jfitconnect.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
4. Platform Rules — All Users
All users of the Platform agree to:
- Provide truthful, accurate, and non-misleading information at all times
- Treat all other users with respect and professionalism
- Not engage in fraudulent, abusive, or harassing behaviour
- Not attempt to circumvent the Platform by arranging off-platform payments for services first introduced through JFit Connect
- Not upload or transmit any content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or harmful
- Not reverse engineer, copy, or interfere with any part of the Platform
- Comply with all applicable UAE laws and regulations
5. Health & Safety Disclaimer
JFit Connect does not provide medical advice. Nothing on the Platform constitutes medical diagnosis, treatment, or advice. Before beginning any fitness programme, psychological service, or physiotherapy treatment, you should consult a qualified medical professional. By using the Platform, you acknowledge and accept all terms.

6. Privacy and Data
Your use of the Platform is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Platform, you consent to our collection, use, and processing of your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy, in compliance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform, including but not limited to the JFit Connect name, logo, design, software, text, and graphics, is owned by or licensed to JFit Personal Training LLC and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Platform for its intended purpose. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
8. Modifications to Terms
JFit Connect reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be notified via the Platform or email with at least 2 days’ notice before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform following notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the UAE. We encourage users to contact us first at support@jfitconnect.com to resolve disputes amicably before pursuing legal remedies.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, JFit Connect, its directors, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities
- Personal injury or property damage arising from the acts or omissions of Experts
- The quality, safety, or suitability of services provided by Experts
- Any service interruption, error, or downtime of the Platform
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to JFit Connect in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
11. Termination
JFit Connect reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms, applicable law, or if it is otherwise necessary to protect the integrity of the Platform or the safety of other users. Upon termination, your right to access the Platform ceases immediately.
11. Auto-Renewable Subscriptions (iOS — Expert Plans)
JFIT Connect offers paid Expert membership plans on iOS as auto-renewable subscriptions purchased through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. By starting a subscription, you agree to the following:
Free trials and promotional pricing. Where offered, free trial periods convert automatically to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited if you start a paid subscription.
Plans and length. Subscription length and entitlements are shown on the in-app purchase screen at the time of purchase. Plans are available on a monthly or annual basis.
Price. The price of each plan is shown in your local currency on the in-app purchase screen, as set by Apple in the App Store for your region. Prices may change from time to time; you will be notified of any change before it takes effect.
Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual, as selected) at the then-current price, unless you cancel auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
How to cancel. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time by going to your iPhone Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions, or by opening the App Store → tap your profile → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; access continues until that date.
No partial refunds. Once a subscription period has begun, that period is non-refundable except where required by applicable law. Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple at https://reportaproblem.apple.com.
Part B — Additional Terms for Clients
The following terms apply specifically to users who register as Clients on the Platform — individuals seeking to book and receive services from Experts.
12. Booking Services
12.1 How Bookings Work
Clients may browse Expert profiles, view packages, select a service, choose a session format (in-person or online or on-site), select a time slot, and complete payment through the Platform. A binding booking is created only upon confirmation of payment.
12.2 Session Types
Clients may book:
- Single Sessions — one-time standalone sessions with an Expert
- Duo Packages — sessions shared between two clients, where the primary client invites a partner via the Platform
12.3 Duo Bookings
When booking a Duo package, the primary client is responsible for ensuring their invited partner accepts the invitation, agrees to these Terms, and complies with all Platform rules. The primary client is liable for the full package payment regardless of whether the partner participates.
13. Payments
13.1 Pricing
All prices displayed on the Platform are in the currency indicated on the listing and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. JFit Connect charges a service commission on each booking, which is factored into the price displayed to Clients. Experts set their own rates subject to Platform guidelines.
13.2 Payment Methods
The Platform accepts payment via saved debit/credit cards and digital wallets. By providing payment information, you represent that you are authorised to use the payment method and authorise JFit Connect to charge the applicable fees. In-app payments for sessions, programs, and one-off purchases on JFIT Connect are processed by Stripe and not through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. This is because those payments are for real-world wellness services delivered outside the app by independent expert service providers (one-to-one and one-to-many sessions, in-person or remote), which is a category of payment permitted to use third-party payment processors under Apple’s App Store Review Guidelines. Subscriptions to JFIT Connect Expert membership plans are the only category of purchase processed through Apple In-App Purchase.
13.3 Invoices
Transaction records and downloadable invoices are available in the Payment & Billing section of the Platform for all completed bookings.
14. Cancellations & Refunds
14.1 Client-Initiated Cancellation
Clients may request cancellation of a package through the Platform. The following refund policy applies:
- Sessions cancelled more than 24 hours before the scheduled session time are fully refundable
- Sessions cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled session time are non-refundable
- Refunds for eligible sessions will be processed within 7–14 business days to the original payment method
14.2 Expert-Initiated Cancellation
If an Expert cancels a confirmed session, the Client will receive a full refund for that session. JFit Connect will make reasonable efforts to notify affected Clients promptly.
14.3 Rescheduling
Clients may request to reschedule a session through the Platform up to 12 hours before the scheduled session time. Rescheduling is subject to the Expert’s availability. Rescheduling requests made within 12 hours of the session may be declined by the Expert.
15. Sessions & Attendance
15.1 Attendance Confirmation
Upon completion of a session, the Expert will mark the Client’s attendance via the Platform. Clients will receive a notification to confirm or reject the attendance marking. Confirming attendance acknowledges the session took place as scheduled.
15.2 Disputed Attendance
If a Client believes a session did not take place as described, they may reject the attendance marking and provide a reason (e.g., ‘Trainer did not show up’). Disputed attendance cases will be reviewed by JFit Connect administration within 5 business days. JFit Connect’s decision on disputed attendance cases is final.
16. Expert Intake Forms
Prior to commencing certain services, Clients may be required to complete Expert Intake Forms relevant to the service type (e.g., Physical Profile for Personal Training; Mental Health & Therapy Needs for Psychologists; Primary Concern for Physiotherapy; Emotional Well-Being for Trained Listeners). Completion of these forms is mandatory for the relevant service and the information provided is shared with the assigned Expert to facilitate personalised service delivery.
| Sensitive Data: Intake forms may collect sensitive health information. This data is processed solely to facilitate your service and is protected under our Privacy Policy. It is not shared with third parties outside the Platform without your explicit consent. |
17. Reviews & Ratings
Following a completed session or package, Clients may submit a rating (1–5 stars) and written review of their Expert through the Platform. Reviews must be honest, based on genuine experience, and comply with our content standards. JFit Connect reserves the right to remove reviews that are fraudulent, abusive, or in violation of these Terms. Clients may not receive compensation or incentive in exchange for positive reviews.
18. BMI & Health Tools
The Platform includes a BMI calculator and access to Diet Plans as informational tools only. These features are not a substitute for professional medical or nutritional advice. Clients use these tools at their own discretion and risk. JFit Connect does not guarantee the accuracy of BMI calculations or the suitability of any diet plan for a specific individual.
19. Client Conduct
Clients agree to:
- Attend sessions on time or provide timely notice of inability to attend
- Treat Experts with professionalism and respect during all interactions
- Not record sessions without the prior written consent of the Expert
- Disclose relevant health conditions or limitations via the intake forms before sessions commence
- Not share Expert contact information or session content outside the Platform
20. Assumption of Risk
By booking fitness or physical wellness services, you acknowledge and voluntarily accept that exercise and physical activity carry inherent risks, including the risk of injury or illness. You confirm that you have consulted or will consult a physician prior to commencing any physical programme, and that you assume full responsibility for your participation in any session.
Account Deletion and Data Removal
You have the right to delete your JFIT Connect account at any time, directly from within the app:
- From the onboarding screens (before you have completed setup): tap “Delete my account” on the welcome or role selection screen.
- From inside the app after onboarding: open the Account tab → Privacy & Security → “Delete account permanently.”
Once you confirm deletion:
- Your account enters a 30-day grace period during which you can request reactivation by contacting support@jfitconnect.com.
- After the 30-day grace period, your personal data is permanently deleted or anonymized, except where retention is required by law (for example, tax or financial records relating to completed transactions).
- Active sessions are signed out on all devices and your stored device tokens are removed.
Deleting your JFIT Connect account does not cancel any active Apple-managed auto-renewable subscription. To stop a subscription from renewing, you must also cancel it in your Apple Account settings as described above. We recommend cancelling your subscription before deleting your account.
Part C — Additional Terms for Experts
The following terms apply specifically to users who register as Experts on the Platform — independent service providers including Personal Trainers, Psychologists, Physiotherapists, and Trained Listeners offering their services to Clients.
| Independent Contractor Status: Experts are independent contractors and are not employees, agents, partners, or joint venturers of JFit Connect. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment relationship between Experts and JFit Connect. Experts are solely responsible for managing their own tax obligations, professional insurance, and regulatory compliance. |
21. Expert Eligibility & Verification
21.1 Qualifications
By registering as an Expert, you represent and warrant that you hold all required qualifications, certifications, licences, and registrations necessary to legally provide your services in the UAE and in the jurisdiction where services are delivered. Experts must maintain valid credentials throughout their use of the Platform.
21.2 Required Documentation
Depending on your service category, the following credentials are typically required:
- Personal Trainers: Recognised fitness certifications (e.g., NASM-CPT, ISSA) and any applicable UAE regulatory registration
- Psychologists / Counsellors: Licensed clinical psychology or counselling qualification, UAE Health Authority licence where required
- Physiotherapists: Degree in physiotherapy and UAE Department of Health or DHA licence
- Trained Listeners: Platform-approved training or certification in active listening and emotional support
21.3 Verification Process
JFit Connect will verify Expert credentials before approving profile activation. Verification does not constitute an endorsement by JFit Connect of the Expert’s services or a guarantee of their quality. Experts must promptly notify JFit Connect of any changes to their credentials, licences, or professional standing.
22. Expert Profile
Experts are responsible for maintaining accurate, truthful, and up-to-date profile information, including:
- Full legal name and professional title
- Accurate description of qualifications, experience, and certifications
- Accurate service offerings, session modes (in-person/online), and service area
- Current availability and pricing
JFit Connect reserves the right to remove, edit, or suspend any profile that contains inaccurate, misleading, or inappropriate information.
23. Commission & Subscription Fees
23.1 Service Commission
JFit Connect charges a commission on every booking completed through the Platform. The applicable commission rate will be communicated to you upon registration and may be updated with 30 days’ prior notice. Commission is automatically deducted from each booking payment before funds are disbursed to the Expert.
23.2 Subscription Fee
Experts are required to maintain an active Platform subscription to list their services. Subscription fees are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected). Failure to maintain an active subscription will result in the deactivation of your Expert profile and suspension of new bookings. Existing confirmed bookings will be honoured during any deactivation period.
23.3 Payouts
Expert earnings (after commission deduction) are disbursed to the bank account or digital wallet registered on your Expert account. Payout schedules and minimum thresholds are set out in the Expert Payout Schedule available in your account settings. JFit Connect reserves the right to withhold payouts pending investigation of disputes, fraud, or policy violations.
23.4 Off-Platform Transactions Prohibited
Experts are strictly prohibited from soliciting or accepting payments directly from Clients for services first introduced through the Platform, for the duration of the Expert’s time on the Platform and for 12 months following account termination. Violation of this clause may result in immediate account suspension, forfeiture of pending payouts, and legal action for damages.
24. Service Delivery
24.1 Professional Standards
Experts agree to deliver all services:
- With the skill, care, and diligence expected of a qualified professional in their field
- In compliance with all applicable UAE laws, regulations, and professional codes of conduct
- Within the scope of their qualifications and without making representations beyond their expertise
- In the session format agreed at booking (in-person or online)
24.2 Attendance & Punctuality
Experts must attend all confirmed sessions on time. If an Expert is unable to attend a session, they must cancel or reschedule via the Platform at least 12 hours in advance. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in account suspension and client refunds being charged against Expert earnings.
24.3 Session Attendance Marking
Experts are responsible for accurately marking Client attendance via the Platform upon session completion. False or incorrect attendance marking is a violation of these Terms and may result in account suspension.
24.4 Session Notes
Experts may add session notes and progress updates through the Platform. Session notes are visible to the assigned Client. Experts must ensure notes are professional, accurate, and do not contain inappropriate or confidential information about other clients.
25. Expert Cancellations & Rescheduling
Experts may cancel or reschedule sessions through the Platform subject to the following:
- Cancellations more than 12 hours before a session: Client receives full refund; no penalty to Expert
- Cancellations within 12 hours of a session: Client receives full refund; a cancellation penalty may be applied to the Expert’s account
- Three or more cancellations within any 30-day period may trigger a performance review and potential account suspension
26. Expert Liability & Indemnification
26.1 Sole Responsibility
Experts are solely and fully responsible for all services they provide through the Platform. JFit Connect bears no responsibility or liability for any harm, injury, loss, or damage — whether physical, psychological, financial, or otherwise — arising from the services provided by an Expert to a Client.
26.2 Professional Insurance
Experts are required to maintain adequate professional indemnity insurance and public liability insurance covering their activities on the Platform. Proof of insurance must be provided to JFit Connect upon request. Failure to maintain required insurance is grounds for immediate account suspension.
26.3 Indemnification
Experts agree to fully indemnify, defend, and hold harmless JFit Connect, its directors, officers, employees, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to:
- The Expert’s provision of services through the Platform
- The Expert’s breach of these Terms or any applicable law
- Any claim by a Client or third party arising from the Expert’s services
- The Expert’s misrepresentation of their qualifications or credentials
- Any tax liability arising from the Expert’s income earned through the Platform
27. Expert Conduct & Prohibited Behaviour
Experts agree not to:
- Provide services beyond the scope of their professional qualifications
- Make clinical diagnoses outside their licensed scope of practice
- Engage in any form of sexual harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate conduct towards Clients
- Share Client personal or health information with any third party without explicit consent
- Record any session without the prior written consent of the Client
- Solicit Clients for off-platform services, referrals, or sales
- Make false or misleading claims about the outcomes of their services
28. Dual Role Users
A user may not hold both a Client and Expert account simultaneously using the same identity. If you wish to use the Platform in both capacities, you must contact JFit Connect support to discuss eligibility. JFit Connect reserves the right to approve or decline dual-role requests at its discretion.
29. Platform Feedback & Reviews
Experts acknowledge that Clients may submit ratings and reviews of their services through the Platform. Experts may not solicit, manipulate, or offer incentives for positive reviews. JFit Connect will make reasonable efforts to investigate and remove fraudulent or abusive reviews, but does not guarantee the removal of all unfavourable reviews that comply with Platform standards.
30. Account Suspension & Termination
JFit Connect may suspend or permanently terminate an Expert’s account for reasons including but not limited to:
- Breach of these Terms
- Lapsed, revoked, or fraudulent credentials
- Sustained negative Client ratings or complaints
- Repeated cancellations or non-attendance
- Off-platform solicitation of Clients
- Fraud or misrepresentation
- Failure to maintain required professional insurance
Upon termination, the Expert’s profile will be deactivated and no new bookings can be accepted. Any confirmed bookings at the time of termination will be subject to JFit Connect’s discretion as to whether they will be honoured.
iOS End-User License Agreement
The use of JFIT Connect on iOS is also governed by Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”), available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. Where these Terms of Use and the Standard EULA conflict on matters specific to your use of the iOS app, these Terms of Use prevail to the extent permitted by Apple’s developer requirements.
